The Memory Flex extra long double mattress offers a medium support and features a soft knitted stretch fabric cover, a 25mm layer of body moulding memory foam and a hand tufted finish. Hand tufting is a process of tapes that are passed through the extra long double mattress at regular intervals and secured on each side with a cotton 'tuft' to ensure the fillings stay in place. The memory foam layer is temperature sensitive and is designed to soften when it comes into contact with warm surfaces and moulds itself to your body shape. It reduces pressure points on your body, creating better blood circulation and results in less tossing and turning by evenly distributing your body weight. The interior features a 12.5 gauge open coil unit, one of the firmest used in extra long double mattress manufacturing and is made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire. The border of the extra long double mattress is strengthened by a thick, rod edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the extra long double mattress, allowing you to sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off.
