Hand tufting is a series of tapes inserted through the single mattress panels at regular intervals and secured on each side with a 'cotton tuft'. The result is, it pre tensions the single mattress and secures the layers of fillings stay in place, reducing the chance of upholstery movement that can cause a single mattress to go lumpy. Its foundation is made up of a two tier pocket spring system where a layer of mini pocket springs are supported by a standard layer of pocket springs.
